Abstract—Metaverse introduces us to the possibility of a wholenew world. Its popularity is soaring and its adoptability continuesto increase every day. There’s no doubt that the concept of virtualreality running simultaneously with the real world is here to stay.However, there has been little to no research on how this newparadigm will address the prevailing security issues and the onesit would pose. In this study, we aim to provide a brief overviewof the concept “Metaverse”, then dive into some of the perceivedsecurity concerns.Index Terms—Augmented Reality, Metaverse, Security, VirtualReality
