Gumi (Gyeongbuk) – Daily Korea, Reporter Kim Cheol-hee: On the 20th, the ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center at Kumoh National Institute of Technology (Director Kim Dong-Seong) signed a business cooperation agreement with NSLab Inc. (CEO Dong-Seong Kim) and Linux Data Systems (CEO Jeong Jeong-Mo) to promote technical collaboration.
This agreement was made at the ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center exhibition booth at the '2023 ITRC Talent Development Expo' held at COEX in Seoul.
The three organizations agreed to collaborate based on this agreement in areas such as blockchain, specialized metaverse platforms, defense, and industrial systems development. Their joint efforts will include:
- Technology and human resource exchange for technology development and new business ventures
- Joint research and research projects
- Cooperative education and seminars
These activities will facilitate the sharing and expansion of intellectual assets among the institutions.
NSLab Inc. is a startup focused on industrial blockchain and specialized metaverse platforms, established based on the research outcomes of Kumoh National Institute of Technology’s ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center.
Linux Data Systems, founded in 2002, is a digital transformation company specializing in Linux-based AI, big data, and cloud technologies, providing related systems to government agencies and large corporations.
Kim Dong-Seong, Director of the ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center, stated, "This agreement allows us to expand our network of collaboration with excellent domestic companies, giving us the momentum to actively pursue technology development and new business ventures."
He further added, "Through the research-patent-commercialization (RPC) track, we will cultivate outstanding talent and ensure the active industry-academia collaboration to link outcomes to commercialization."
The ICT Convergence Specialization Research Center at Kumoh National Institute of Technology has created various achievements, including cultivating ICT talent at the master's and doctoral levels through programs such as the regional intelligence innovation talent development project.
In May, NSLab plans to introduce its self-developed blockchain technology, Pure Chain, at the opening ceremony of its U.S. office in Golden Beach, Florida.
