엔에스랩(NSLab)의 김동성 대표(국립금오공과대학교 교수 겸 ICT융합특성화연구센터 센터장)가 8월 5일부터 7일까지 인도네시아 수라바야 힐튼 더블트리 호텔에서 열린 ‘국제전자심포지엄(International Electronics Symposium, IES) 2025’(이하 IES 2025)에 기조연설자로 초청받아 ‘산업용 블록체인 응용: 퓨어체인과 퓨어엣지(Industrial Blockchain Application: Pure Chain and Pure Edge)’를 주제로 발표를 진행했다.
이번 기조연설에서 김동성 대표는 산업 현장에 적용 가능한 블록체인 기술의 실제 활용 사례를 중심으로, 엔에스랩이 자체 개발한 ‘퓨어 월렛(Pure Wallet)’, ‘퓨어 체인(Pure Chain)’, ‘퓨어 엣지(Pure Edge)’와 더불어 블록체인 기반 인증 시스템 ‘퓨어서티피케이트(Pure Certificate)’와 전자투표 시스템 ‘퓨어보팅(Pure Voting)’ 등의 구조와 기술적 강점을 소개했다. 특히 신뢰 기반의 인증 절차와 투명한 의사결정 구조를 가능케 하는 블록체인 기술의 가능성에 대해 참석자들의 주목을 받았다.
기조연설 직후에는 블록체인 솔루션 기증식이 진행됐으며, 이 자리에는 국립 수라바야 전자공과대학교(PENS) 총장 아리프 이르완샤 교수, IES 2025 대회장 아마드 자이 교수, 그리고 국제교류 원장 아리스 리스키 교수가 참석했다. 김동성 대표는 IES 조직위원회 및 수라바야 지역 대학을 대상으로 퓨어서티피케이트와 퓨어보팅 시스템을 공식 기증하면서 “현지 교육기관이 디지털 인증과 전자투표 시스템의 투명성, 신뢰성을 확보하는 데 실질적으로 기여하길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
이번 IES 2025는 ‘지능형 연결성: 지속 가능한 삶을 위한 그린 ICT 구현(Intelligent Connectivity: Enabling Green ICT in Emerging Technology Services for Sustainable Living)’을 주제로, 인공지능(AI), 사물인터넷(IoT), 블록체인 등 첨단 기술을 활용한 지속 가능한 사회 구축 방안을 심도 있게 다룬 국제학회다. 행사는 IEEE 인도네시아 지부와 일본 대학, 국내외 전문가와 연구자 300여 명이 참석했으며, 엔에스랩과 국립금오공과대학교 ICT융합특성화연구센터가 공식 후원 기관으로 참여해 국제 협력과 기술 공유 활성화에 기여했다는 점에서도 큰 의미를 더했다.

Dr. Dong-Seong Kim, CEO of NSLab (who also serves as a professor at Kumoh National Institute of Technology and Director of the ICT Convergence Research Center), was invited as a keynote speaker at the International Electronics Symposium 2025 (IES 2025). The event took place from August 5 to 7 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Surabaya, Indonesia. During the symposium, Professor Kim delivered a presentation titled "Industrial Blockchain Application: Pure Chain and Pure Edge."
In his keynote address, Prof. Kim focused on practical use cases of blockchain technology applicable to industrial environments. He introduced the structures and technical advantages of NSLab's proprietary solutions, including 'Pure Wallet', 'Pure Chain', and 'Pure Edge', as well as their blockchain-based authentication system, 'Pure Certificate', and electronic voting system, 'Pure Voting'. His insights into the potential of blockchain technology to enable trust-based authentication procedures and transparent decision-making structures garnered significant attention from the attendees.

Prof. Kim officially donated the Pure Certificate and Pure Voting systems to the IES organizing committee and Surabaya-area universities. He stated, > "I hope this donation will substantially contribute to ensuring the transparency and credibility of digital authentication and e-voting systems within local educational institutions."
Under the theme "Intelligent Connectivity: Enabling Green ICT in Emerging Technology Services for Sustainable Living," IES 2025 was an international symposium that delved deeply into ways to build a sustainable society using cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain.
The event brought together over 300 international and domestic experts, researchers, and representatives from the IEEE Indonesia Section and Japanese universities. The symposium held even greater significance as NSLab and the KIT (Kumoh National Institute of Technology) ICT Convergence Research Center participated as official sponsors, contributing to the vitalization of international cooperation and technology sharing.
